In addition, the group (having awarded the rights to develop a green field port project by Government of Gujarat on 32 years BOOT basis) has carried out extensive developmental work to build the all weather multi purpose port at Umergaon (South Gujarat). The project is in joint venture with major NRI group from USA. The port will also have the chemical terminal facility in joint venture with world-renowned companies.
This existing chemical distribution business is a small step for Deucalion in that direction to operate a world class chemical terminal facilities co-located with the port. This facility would offer faster distribution of the entire import/export and thus saving cost and offering great flexibility in terms of meeting the market demands.
